Peter Wing has just been awarded an CAMS career development fellowship!

This award will see Peter move all of 300 meters, to the COI in the building (nearly) next door.

Drs Peter Wing and James Harris attended the collaborative networking meeting in Chengdu, China. The meeting brought together the CAMS funded groups from both Oxford and China for a few days, with a programme of cutting edge science, and networking opportunities. Congratulations to James for placing as runner up for the best flash talk!

Helene Borrmann has just been awarded an EMBO post-doctoral fellowship!

This award will take Helene away to sunny California, where she will study circadian rhythms in parasites with Filipa Rijo-Ferreira at Berkeley (to find out more, follow this link).

A Royal Society Meeting

This event is intended for researchers in the fields of circadian biology, immunology, microbiology, parasitology, virology and evolutionary ecology. The meeting will explore how and why rhythms in pathogen activities and host immune responses drive disease processes.

Laboratory members attended the annual HBV Meeting, in Paris. Dr Senko Tsukuda and Dr Olivia Dobrica presented posters on their work regarding m6A RNA methylation and CTCF, respectively. Professsor McKeating delivered a session talk highlighting the importance of using physiological oxygen in laboratory models.

Members of the McKeating Group attended the first HypoxEU live meeting. This event was sponsored by Baker Ruskinn and held at University College Dublin. Dr James Harris presented a poster on his work studying the interplay between HBV and host hypoxic signalling pathways.
